We’re looking for passionate leaders to join our volunteer board. As a Programs, Membership, or Communications Chair, you’ll help create immersive events, grow our community, and amplify our voice across the region.

    • Retain and engage current members through events, perks, and communications.

    • Manage membership roster and support the onboarding process

    • Collaborate with Programs and Communications to highlight membership benefits.

    • Conduct member surveys and analyze feedback to improve the experience.

    • Commit to ~8+ hrs/month, including board meetings and member outreach.

    AAF SF Bay Area is seeking a Programs Chair to define and lead our overall programming strategy—shaping the events, workshops, and experiences that connect, inspire, and grow our community.

    🛠 What You’ll Do

    • Own and lead the annual programming strategy and calendar

    • Oversee execution of key events, including the American Advertising Awards and flagship programming

    • Manage and mentor Programs Co-Chairs and volunteers

    • Partner with Sponsorship, Communications, and Membership to align programming with broader goals

    • Identify new opportunities for partnerships, formats, and community engagement

    • Ensure programming reflects the needs and interests of the Bay Area creative community

    AAF SF Bay Area is where creativity and innovation converge—and we’re looking for a Communications Chair and Co-Chair to help lead storytelling across social media, email, and our website.


    🛠 What You’ll Do

    • Help manage strategy and execution for social media, website, and email campaigns.

    • Develop and maintain a content calendar with consistent brand voice.

    • Collaborate with Programs and Sponsorship to promote events and highlight sponsors.

    • Support initiatives to grow our digital presence and attract new members.

    • Commit to ~8+ hrs/month, including board and creative planning meetings.

  • Ensure clarity, continuity, and strong board operations.

    AAF SF Bay Area is looking for a Secretary to support board effectiveness by managing meeting documentation, communication flow, and organizational records.

    🛠 What You’ll Do

    • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas in collaboration with leadership

    • Record and publish meeting minutes following each board meeting

    • Track key decisions, action items, and follow-ups

    • Maintain organizational documents and records

    • Support board coordination and communication as needed

    • Clear and concise writing skills

    • Ability to capture and synthesize discussions into actionable notes
