We’re looking for passionate leaders to join our volunteer board. As a Programs, Membership, or Communications Chair, you’ll help create immersive events, grow our community, and amplify our voice across the region.

This is a volunteer leadership position (~8+ hrs/month) available to AAF SFBA members only. Please complete this application to help us learn about your experience, interests, and availability.

    AAF SF Bay Area is where creativity and innovation converge—and we’re looking for a Membership Chair to build and lead programs that recruit, onboard, and retain members while enhancing their experience in the club.

    🛠 What You’ll Do

    • Design and execute strategies to grow membership.

    • Retain and engage current members through events, perks, and communications.

    • Manage membership roster and support the onboarding process

    • Collaborate with Programs and Communications to highlight membership benefits.

    • Conduct member surveys and analyze feedback to improve the experience.

    • Commit to ~8+ hrs/month, including board meetings and member outreach.

  • Programs (Events) Co-Chair
    Help us lead unforgettable events that inspire the Bay Area’s creative community.

    AAF SF Bay Area is where creativity and innovation converge—and we’re looking for a Program Co-Chair to help us shape the future of advertising through immersive, engaging events.

    🛠 What You’ll Do

    • Own and produce 3 major events per year

    • Support additional events with the Program Chair and board

    • Collaborate on our annual programming calendar

    • Partner with other board chairs on promotion and creative materials

    • Manage timelines, vendors, logistics, and communication

    • Get scrappy and creative with tight budgets

    • Commit to ~8+ hrs/month, including board and mini check-in meetings

    • Confidence leading a team and solving problems quickly

    • Familiarity with the SF Bay Area scene

    • Experience using Google Drive for planning

  • Communications Chair/Co-Chair

    Amplify the voice of Bay Area’s advertising and creative professionals.

    AAF SF Bay Area is where creativity and innovation converge—and we’re looking for a Communications Chair and Co-Chair to help lead storytelling across social media, email, and our website.


    🛠 What You’ll Do

    • Help manage strategy and execution for social media, website, and email campaigns.

    • Develop and maintain a content calendar with consistent brand voice.

    • Collaborate with Programs and Sponsorship to promote events and highlight sponsors.

    • Support initiatives to grow our digital presence and attract new members.

    • Commit to ~8+ hrs/month, including board and creative planning meetings.

    ✅ What You Bring

    • Administrative skills with cloud based digital tools and social platforms (Squarespace, MailChimp, Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok).

    • Skilled in social media communications

    • Strong writing skills

    • Ability to manage multiple platforms and campaigns.

    • Passion for elevating creativity and innovation in advertising.
